SENSOLIFE is officially entering the Spanish and French markets, bringing its voice-powered cognitive support to seniors beyond Portugal’s borders. This is more than just a geographic expansion.
It’s a commitment to making cognitive companionship accessible across Europe — in local language, local context, and local culture.
Why Spain and France?
The decision wasn’t random — it was rooted in need and readiness.
- Spain has over 9 million citizens over the age of 65. Many live in rural or semi-urban regions where access to daily mental stimulation or personalized care is limited.
- France, with its long tradition of elderly home services and state-supported aging programs, is actively seeking non-invasive cognitive health technologies that empower seniors without medicalizing them.
In both countries, we found partners who understood our mission deeply — and shared our belief in aging with dignity, not dependency.
Meet Our Local Distributors
To ensure a truly local presence, we’ve partnered with two outstanding distribution partners:
- In Spain, we’re collaborating with a social enterprise experienced in deploying assistive tech in Castile and Catalonia. Their team is training geriatric care providers to onboard SENSOLIFE in both Spanish and regional languages.
- In France, we’ve joined forces with a digital health distributor based in Lyon, with roots in the mutual insurance and homecare sectors. They’re focusing on SENSOLIFE for both families and nursing home groups.
Both partners are now certified to:
- Deliver devices
- Train end-users and caregivers
- Provide customer support in native languages
- Offer post-sale service and education
Regional Voice Models Ready
Thanks to groundwork laid throughout 2024, the Spanish and French language models inside SENSOLIFE have already been tuned for:
- Elderly Castilian Spanish, with fallback for Andalusian and Catalan variants
- French regional articulation patterns, including Parisian, southern, and slower-paced rural speech
This ensures a more natural, fluid experience from day one — no clunky translations, no voice mismatch.
Launch Packages Tailored to Each Market
In both countries, we’ve adjusted the onboarding and pricing structure to reflect local expectations:
- Spain: Focused on multi-user bundles for care homes and families with aging parents. Payment via local cooperatives and social health plans.
- France: Emphasis on insurance-supported adoption, with materials aligned to French public health guidelines and distributed through pharmacies.
Early customer trials in Valencia and Lyon begin this month.
