SENSOLIFE Debuts at Arab Health 2024, Showcasing European Innovation Abroad

23-September-2024

Dubai, UAE — In a bold step toward international visibility and cross-regional collaboration, SENSOLIFE proudly made its Middle East debut at Arab Health 2024, the largest healthcare exhibition in the MENA region. As one of the few featured digital health innovations from Southern Europe, SENSOLIFE was presented as an example of ethical, human-centered AI for elderly cognitive wellness.

The event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, brought together thousands of delegates, hospital administrators, public health officials, and medical innovators — many of whom are urgently exploring solutions for their aging populations.

A Global Need, A Localized Solution

With the senior population in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) expected to triple by 2050, countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait are actively seeking technologies that:

  • Promote aging in place
  • Respect religious and cultural values
  • Do not rely on smartphones or continuous internet
  • Address mental wellness without clinical intervention

SENSOLIFE’s plug-and-play smart box — fully voice-controlled, screen-free, and culturally customizable — struck a chord with these healthcare leaders.

“In our region, family remains central — but tech can support families without replacing them. SENSOLIFE captures that balance,” said a public health advisor from Riyadh.

At the European Innovation Pavilion

SENSOLIFE was featured within the European Innovation Pavilion, a curated exhibition showcasing the EU’s most promising digital health startups.

Highlights of the booth included:

  • Live multilingual demo of SENSOLIFE interacting in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish
  • Showcasing the device’s offline functionality, ideal for areas with limited connectivity
  • Presentation of the Caregiver Dashboard, adapted for family-centric care cultures
  • Custom greetings tailored for religious observances and prayer reminders, demonstrating localization capabilities

Visitors appreciated the respectful tone of the device and its non-intrusive nature — especially in contexts where privacy and dignity are paramount.

Building Bridges with Regional Stakeholders

As a result of the showcase, SENSOLIFE:

  • Entered discussions with elderly care authorities in Qatar and Oman
  • Was invited to pilot in private homecare clinics in Abu Dhabi and Muscat
  • Opened dialogue with AI ethics regulators in the UAE around speech-based cognitive monitoring
  • Began exploring distribution models through GCC pharmacy networks and digital health hubs

These conversations laid the foundation for potential EU–GCC knowledge exchange frameworks on digital aging.

Reflections from the Team

“Arab Health has shown us that empathy, respect, and simplicity are universal design principles,” said CTO Ahmad, who led the technical demonstrations.
“We don’t need to redesign the elderly. We need to design for their world — and in every region, that world looks a little different.”

A New Era of Cross-Border Care

This debut was not just about expansion — it was about learning and listening.
SENSOLIFE’s appearance at Arab Health 2024 confirmed that the challenge of aging is shared globally — and the solution must be culturally adaptive, emotionally intelligent, and easy to use.
